Centro Maria Sibylla Merian
Este volumen de la colección CLACSO-CALAS pone su eje en la articulación entre política, afectos e identidades. Los aportes que lo integran reflexionan sobre lo afectivo como componente constitutivo pero no inmutable de los vínculos humanos y las identidades individuales y colectivas.
La migración es una estrategia de protección para individuos y familias. Sin embargo, en los últimos años, las políticas migratorias cada vez más restrictivas están obligando a más personas a buscar nuevas rutas migratorias, marcadas por inseguridades y discontinuidades. Así, por ejemplo, los distintos acuerdos bilaterales entre la Unión Europea (UE) y países fronterizos, como Turquía o Libia, para detener la llegada de migrantes africanos a la UE, ha llevado a muchos de ellos a buscar nuevas rutas a través del continente americano hacia EEUU o Canadá.

Claudia Otazua Polo works as a communication assistant at the Center for Advanced Latin American Studies, María Sibila Merian (CALAS). She holds a bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Camagüey, Cuba, and a master's degree in Communication from the University of Guadalajara.
She is consultant for the Revista Mexicana de Comunicación of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Unidad Cuajimalpa.

The analytical area of Climate Change confronts a thematic challenge in various aspects: in terms of the factor of time, one must distinguish between the phase of natural climate variability and the phase of anthropogenic climate change throughout the eras proposed in our project.

PhD in Art History from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (2006). He has been a professor of Art History in Jalisco at the University of Guadalajara since 2000. He participated in the Research Seminar of the National Museum of Art (2002 and 2012). He is the author of a dozen titles about art in Jalisco among which stand out the coordination of 3 volumes of "La catedral de Guadalajara, Historia y significados", Colegio de Jalisco, 2013.
