Pablo Alabarces (Buenos Aires, 1961) has a degree in Literature (University of Buenos Aires), Magister in Sociology of Culture (National University of San Martín), and Doctor of Sociology (University of Brighton). He is a Titular Professor of Popular Culture at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Buenos Aires, where he directed his Ph.D. between 2004 and 2010, and Senior Researcher at CONICET. His research includes studies on popular music, popular cultures, and soccer cultures.

Martín Bergel (Buenos Aires, 1973) is a Doctor in History from the Faculty of Philosophy and Literature of the University of Buenos Aires (2010). Researcher at the Center for Intellectual History of the National University of Quilmes, and professor of Contemporary Latin American History at the University of San Martín (Buenos Aires). He is a member of the collective editor of the yearbook Prismas. Journal of Intellectual History. He was a visiting researcher at the Free University of Berlin and Harvard University. He published The Displaced Orient.

Pablo Baisotti received his doctorate in Institutions, Politics, and History in 2015, at the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Bologna. Previously, he obtained a Master in International Relations Europe-Latin America at the same university and another Master in Economic Integration Law, the latter at the Paris 1 University and the University of El Salvador. He studies topics of politics and religion and solidarity economy, the latter of which he will work on during his stay at the CALAS center.

Andrea Gigena is a Doctor in Social Sciences (University of Buenos Aires), Magister in Public Administration (National University of Córdoba), and graduate in Political Science (Catholic University of Córdoba). Associate Researcher at the National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET) of Argentina. Visiting Researcher/Professor at the Center for Intercultural and Indigenous Studies (CIIR) in the city of Santiago de Chile (2016) and; at the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Panama, in Panama City (2017).

Pabel Camilo López Flores is a Bolivian social researcher, associated with the Postgraduate Program in Development Sciences CIDES-UMSA (Bolivia). Doctor in Sociology from the Scuola Normale Superiore and the Università di Milano 'Bicocca' (Italy). He has a post-doctorate in Geography at the Federal University of Uberlandia (Brazil), a Master in Social Policies and Sustainable Territory Management, a Master in Philosophy and Political Science, and a Bachelor of Law.

Anna Preiser is a University Assistant (Prae-Doc) at the Institute of Political Science at the University of Vienna, Austria. Her doctoral project focuses - from a political-economic and political-ecological and perspective - on socio-ecological conflicts of mining and environmental policy in Peru. She studied International Development (University of Vienna) and International Management (WU Vienna). She made several study stays (University of the Pacific), as a visiting researcher (Catholic University of Peru), and field research in Peru.

Soledad Stoessel has a Ph.D. in Social Sciences and a BA in Sociology from the National University of La Plata (UNLP). She has a Master's Degree in Political Sciences from FLACSO-Ecuador. She is currently a professor at the Epistemology of Social Sciences chair. She is a visiting professor-researcher in the master's degree in Political Sociology at FLACSO Ecuador. She is also a postdoctoral fellow at CONICET (Argentina) and participates in research projects based at the Institute for Research in Humanities and Social Sciences (UNLP-CONICET) and at FLACSO-Ecuador.

Amaru Villanueva is coordinator of projects at the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Foundation (FES). He holds a BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics and an MA in Internet Social Sciences, both from Oxford University. Previously, he worked in the areas of innovation and strategy in telecommunications, and in 2010 he founded the magazine Bolivian Express. He was director of the Center for Social Research (CIS) and the Bolivian Bicentennial Library (BBB) ​​until 2017.

Tobias Boos is a Doctor in Political Science from the University of Vienna, where he is a professor in the area of ​​International Politics. His lines of research are middle class and populism in Latin America, theories of the state, and political economy. His focus is directed to the relationship between social structure and political identities in Latin America.
