The Maria Sibylla Merian Center for Advanced Latin American Studies (CALAS) in Guadalajara, Mexico, is accepting applications for 4 to 8-month residence fellowships for highly qualified Researchers, located at its headquarters in Guadalajara, Mexico. According to the CALAS research program, applicants are expected to contribute to the development of new methodological and analytic approaches to understand the changes and crises in Latin America. This may include a revision of Latin-American approaches, theories, and methodologies that deal with crises.

Andrea Gigena es Doctora en Ciencias Sociales (Universidad de Buenos Aires), Magister en Administración Pública (Universidad Nacional de Córdoba) y Licenciada en Ciencia Política (Universidad Católica de Córdoba). Investigadora Adjunta del Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas (CONICET) de Argentina. Investigadora/Profesora Visitante en el Centro de Estudios Interculturales e Indígenas (CIIR) en la ciudad de Santiago de Chile (2016) y; en la Facultad de Humanidades de la Universidad de Panamá, en la ciudad de Panamá (2017).
En el marco del laboratorio de conocomiento "Confrontando las Desigualdades en América Latina: Perspectivas sobre riquezas y poder" se otorgarán hasta un máximo de 10 becas de investigación para colobarar en el primer eje laboratorio "Regulacion y Desregulación de la riqueza"
