Agustín Lao Montes

Agustín Laó-Montes holds a PhD in historical sociology from Binghamton University in New York (20003) and is an Afro-descendant intellectual-activist of Puerto Rican origin. He is a professor of sociology at the University of Massachusetts where he is also a research fellow at the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies and coordinator of the graduate program in African Diasporas in the PhD in Afro-American Studies.

Walter A. Pengue

Walter Alberto Pengue is an Agricultural Engineer, with a specialization in Plant Breeding (Phytotechnology) from the University of Buenos Aires. He obtained his Master's degree in Environmental and Territorial Policies at the same University. Dr. in Agroecology, Sociology and Sustainable Rural Development from the School of Agricultural and Forestry Engineers at the University of Cordoba (Spain). He did postdoctoral stays at the Universities of Tromso (Norway) and INBI, University of Canterbury (New Zealand).

Isabel Piper-Shafir es Doctora en Psicología Social por la Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona. Es profesora e investigadora del Departamento de Psicología, Facultad de Ciencias Sociales de la Universidad de Chile donde coordinada además el programa Psicología Social de la Memoria. Es activa investigadora del Consejo Latinoamericano de Ciencias Sociales -  CLACSO en el cual fue  miembro del Comité Directivo entre los años 2015 - 2022, en representación de la región Chile- Perú.

Juan Pablo Jiménez

Juan Pablo Jiménez is a lecturer of Public Finance at the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO) in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is also a researcher at the Center for Economic Research (CINVE) in Uruguay and the Vice President of the Ibero-American Association for Local Financing (AIFIL). Dr. Jiménez was the office director of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) in Uruguay and the coordinator of the Fiscal Area of the Economic Development Division of ECLAC in Santiago, Chile.

Jose Antonio Figueroa

José Antonio Figueroa Pérez is Doctor in Social Anthropology. He finished his doctoral thesis in Latin American Cultural Studies and Hispanic American Literature at Georgetown University. And a second doctoral thesis in Social Anthropology from the Rovira I Virgili University in Tarragona, Spain. He currently works as a professor and researcher at the Faculty of Arts, Central University of Ecuador, and hisdo.

Roberto Briceño-León

Roberto Briceño-León. He is a professor of sociology at the University of Venezuela Central and director of the Laboratory of Social Sciences, LACSO. Founder of the Venezuelan Observatory of Violence, OVV. In addition, he is a visiting professor at the Federal University of Ceara, Brazil. He has been a professor at the Sorbonne-Nouvelle University, Paris III, and the Autonomous University of Mexico. Fellow of Saint Antony's College, Oxford University, and the Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, DC.
