Virginia Vecchioli

Virginia Vecchioli has obtained her Ph.D. in social anthropology from the Museu Nacional, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and made post-doctoral studies at the École Normale Supérieure at Paris (France). She was visiting professor at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul and at the Federal University Rio de Janeiro. Virginia works as a full-time professor at the Federal University of Santa Maria (Brazil). She teaches at the Ph.D.

Zoltan Kékesi

Zoltán Kékesi is a cultural historian of Central and East Central Europe with a focus on Holocaust research, Jewish history, and memory studies. He works as a research fellow at the Centre for Collective Violence, Holocaust and Genocide Studies, University College London. He studied German Studies, Hungarian Studies, and Comparative Literature, and holds a Ph.D. from ELTE (Budapest).

Adolfo Álvarez Macías

Adolfo Álvarez Macías has a Ph.D in Agricultural and Food Economics from the Ecole Nationale Superieure Agronomique de Montpellier (France). He is a Professor-Researcher at the Department of Agricultural and Animal Production of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Xochimilco Unit. He has teaching experience in agricultural economics, public policies, food security, and methodology and methods of research and investment projects in agronomy, veterinary, and zootechnical sciences undergraduate and graduate programs.

Robert Carcamo Mallen

Robert Carcamo Mallen has obtained his Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Humboldt University (HU-Berlin), works as an associate researcher in the Agri-Food Chain Management group at HU-Berlin and serves as the coordinator for Europe in the Latin American Network for Rural Innovation (Red LaTIR), in collaboration with the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Additionally, he is a member of the PAPIIT-UNAM project: Social Innovations and COVID-19.

Yaatsil Guevara González

Yaatsil Guevara González holds a PhD in sociology from Bielefeld University. She has worked at the Department of Anthropology and African Studies (ifeas) at the University of Mainz, at the Institute for Interdisciplinary Research on Conflict and Violence (IKG) at Bielefeld University), and at the Center for InterAmerican Studies (CIAS) at Bielefeld University. She recently coordinated the research project “African Trajectories across Central America” funded by the German Research Foundation.

Carlos Alberto Haas

Carlos Alberto Haas was born in Guatemala and grew up in Germany. He studied musicology and history in Heidelberg, Rome and Munich. In 2018, he received his PhD from the Ludwig Maximilian University Munich with the thesis "Privacy in the Ghettos. Jewish Life in Poland under German Occupation 1939-1944." This thesis was awarded the Doctoral Prize of the Leibniz Association. He is currently a lecturer and researcher (Akademischer Rat a. Z.) in the Department of History at LMU Munich.

Carlos Fredy Ochoa

Carlos Fredy Ochoa studied conflict resolution at Uppsala University. His master's and doctoral studies were in anthropology at the University of Connecticut (UConn). He is a specialist in Mayan societies, their oral tradition, authority systems and customary law and has a particular interest in 15th century Mesoamerica. He is currently a professor of peace and security at the School of Political Science and director of the Institute of Political and Social Research at the University of San Carlos de Guatemala.

Ester Serra Mingot

Ester Serra Mingot is a social anthropologist with an approach on migration, social protection, and gender in African contexts. In 2018 she finished her Phd at the Universities of Maastricht (The Netherlands) and Aix Marseille (France), where she was capable to analyze transnational social protection issues for Sudanese immigrants and refugees in the Netherlands and the UK, as well as their families in Sudan.

Pabel Camilo López Flores

Pabel Camilo López Flores is a Bolivian social researcher, associated with the Postgraduate Program in Development Sciences CIDES-UMSA (Bolivia). Doctor in Sociology from the Scuola Normale Superiore and the Università di Milano 'Bicocca' (Italy). He has a post-doctorate in Geography at the Federal University of Uberlandia (Brazil), a Master in Social Policies and Sustainable Territory Management, a Master in Philosophy and Political Science, and a Bachelor of Law.

Anna Preiser

Anna Preiser is a University Assistant (Prae-Doc) at the Institute of Political Science at the University of Vienna, Austria. Her doctoral project focuses - from a political-economic and political-ecological and perspective - on socio-ecological conflicts of mining and environmental policy in Peru. She studied International Development (University of Vienna) and International Management (WU Vienna). She made several study stays (University of the Pacific), as a visiting researcher (Catholic University of Peru), and field research in Peru.
