Myriam Rebeca Pérez Daniel is a full time professor and researcher at the University of Colima. She has a degree in Psychology, specialist in Arts Education, Culture and Citizenship, Master in Communication and PhD in Education. She studies educational phenomena, especially those related to teaching-learning processes in contexts of diversity and the analysis and design of educational materials. She cultivates the line of knowledge generation of Education and Communication for Diversity approached from the Psycho-Educational perspective, Horizontal Methodologies and Discourse Analysis. She is a member of the National System of Researchers of CONACYT. She received the State Youth Research Award 2012, by the Council of Science and Technology of Chiapas. She served as coordinator and author of the books Mujeres tras un sueño por la ciencia (Mujeres tras un sueño por la ciencia, Fundación SM, 2016), Horizontalidad, diálogo y reciprocidad en los métodos de investigación social y cultural (in collaboration with Stefano Sartorello, CENEJUS, 2012) and the educational text Los wixaritari viajan a la ciudad: guía y memoria de un viaje de San Miguel Huaixtita a Guadalajara (co-authored with Sarah Corona Berkin, CENEJUS, 2011).
