Kristina Dietz is Professor of International Relations with a focus on Latin America at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Kassel. Her research deals with socio-ecological transformation, global environmental, climate and energy policy, extractivism and resource conflicts, critical agrarian studies, social movements, democracy and participation, all with a focus on Latin America and sub-Saharan Africa. She is Director of the Center for Latin American Studies (CELA) at the University of Kassel and a member of the Directory Board of CALAS.
