Visiting Professorships at German Universities
The P.R.I.M.E. programme enables postdocs of all nationalities who see their long-term career in Germany to combine employment at a German university with a research stay outside Germany. Funded researchers receive a work contract at a German university covering the entire funding period. Remuneration is based on the normal pay rate for postdoctoral researchers there.
Cooperation Groups address interdisciplinary research co-operations—already existing or still at the planning stage—that frequently develop in connection with special research institutes, research groups or graduate schools. Cooperation Groups are intended to offer such collaborative projects the opportunity of inviting visiting scientists to do research at the ZiF for a moderate period of time (three weeks up to six months).
Initiation of International Collaboration
Applicants interested in establishing collaborative scientific relationships with partners abroad may apply for funding for trips abroad, guest visits or for exploratory workshops.
Purpose
Cooperation with Developing Countries
The DFG enables research cooperations between researchers in Germany and in developing countries through research grants for individual projects. The aim is to promote scientific cooperation between Germany and developing countries within the framework of scientifically demanding research projects.
Purpose
ZiF Research Groups aim at a long term interdisciplinary collaboration. They provide the frame in which scholars from various disciplines work together on a broader research theme. For an extended time, generally one year, they work and live at the ZiF.
Research Fellowships are intended to help early career researchers to conduct a defined project at a location of their choice in a country other than Germany and to use it as an opportunity to familiarise themselves with new research methods or to bring a large project to a conclusion.
