Camila Carrillo Parra is a political scientist with a degree in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Los Hemisferios. Her academic and professional career has focused on the study of human mobility, the integration processes of extra-continental refugees, and the dynamics of peace in Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as the democratization and internationalization of higher education, student movements, and collective action. She has collaborated with international organizations and diplomatic units on research projects, academic cooperation, and immigration regularization. She currently works as an assistant at the Center for Advanced Latin American Studies (CALAS), Andean region, and in the Research Coordination in the Department of the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO) in Quito, Ecuador.
